The Princess in this instance is a Princess Royal locomotive pulling a passenger train up to Scotland.
I often travelled up and down to Scotland from London behind these locomotives. Sadly they were taken out of service in 1962 after a short active life of 28 years.
This is a straight railway portrait and has less Bill in it than most.
