This is a loving and respectful portrait of a tree.
This gnarled old beech tree was captured in an old sepia photograph from the 1920’s that appeared in ‘Hutchinson’s Beautiful Britain’.
These animated trees are stark in the landscape. What is good ab out this view is that at this time our woodland was not manicured as it is today. The colour is muted but full of light and mystery.
