Here we see a Fowler 4F 0-6-0 freight engine, the workhorse of the LMS, that numbered over 700 examples, and were seen on freight trains up and down the tracks from Carlisle to London.
The loco is painted in a nice shade of rust which it mostly sported during its working life.
The view is at the same spot that the Princess loco in 1630 was painted from.
This is a fine tribute to the age of steam and the humble freight engine.
