This is another tribute to the rugged history and landscape of Scotland.
The painting is based on such castles as Dunnotar, Stirling and Dunstaffange that stand on cliff like outcrops that saw many years of siege and battle.
So much strife has occurred that it has almost seeped into the ground. I have tried to capture this atmosphere with this picture.
