This is a composite view of London as it was after the Blitz. It shows one of the great warehouses fronting Thames Street, some of which caught the full fury of the Luftwaffe during 1940 and 1941.
The picture shows an early Victorian fireproof warehouse, behind this is a surviving 18th century building with a Wren church in the background and a 60’s glass office building above.
This was the landscape that I walked around since I was ten years old.
