This drawing originated from a sketch done in Italy in 2004, which was a fanciful drawing based on some of the mausoleums seen on the way through to Venice, Florence and Rome.
The original drawing contained the building on the right and left foreground.
In 2013 I completed the drawing with the buildings and the mountains in the background.
In 2004 we skirted the Alps through Switzerland, and this painting captures the light of Switzerland and Italy.
I feel this is a fine example of my work.
