This was painted from a drawing and painting commissioned by my late Godmother Dorothy Punyer who requested a view of the Norfolk countryside.
The view is by the river near the Berney Arms Mill on the Norfolk Broads near Great Yarmouth.
The picture is set in Edwardian times where a mother reads a letter whilst sitting on a five bar gate while her small child wanders.
I have visited the Broads a number of times and this view captures the feeling of wide open spaces.
