This is a verbatim view of the Acropolis in Athens which I visited in 2004.
In the foreground are a collaged collection of Ancient Greek artefacts. The storm clouds are gathering and the landscape is becoming dark.
This was painted during the economic crisis in Greece in 2012 and the picture symbolises the current threat to democracy by showing the ravages of the past.
