This painting was composed from a sketch taken from elements from the Suffolk landscape inspired from a library book of old Suffolk photographs.
I collaged elements that were germane to the landscape of Suffolk and its social history. Hence it contained a ruined church, an old smock mill, a gnarled old tree with an owl and a derelict traction engine all lit by a full moon in the night sky.
This again shows the influence Suffolk has cast over my work.
