This picture does what it says in the title, it is a romantic view of a ruined castle surrounded by trees.
It is my take on those views beloved of Michelangelo Rooker, Turner, Sandby and those other late 18th and early 19th century painters.
It uses light and shade and colour to create a strong sense of form.
