Here we see a scene at the end of steam traction on British Railways.
There is a time-served tank engine from the Southern Region of British Railways being cut up by a man with an acetylene torch. Behind are two superannuated Southern Region locomotives awaiting their fate. On the left is the firebox of an ex War Department 9F 2-10-0 freight engine in the process of being dismantled.
