In the painting of this, I fused my drawing style with my painting style.
Colour is used to great effect but the drawing is foremost.
Having learnt to draw with the brush I have used it here to create something quite sculptural; the contrast between light and dark creates a strong sense of space.
The seagulls help to animate the whole picture.
